Enjoying this, and your getting down-to-the-bones of what Creativity is really about and how to move with it.After listening,I kept thinking of the great poet William Stafford.Much of his poetry derived from his own difficult experiences and the incredible variety of careers he worked. But,he also developed the structural know-how,and went on to teach at the university level and to become poet laureate of Oregon. He condensed it all in a poem called...''The Way it is''..The key phrase was ''a-thread-that-you-follow.'' He encouraged & mentored his students and others to follow this thread and his recommended practice was similar to your morning writing ritual Aaron. And,as Stafford said...''Whatever you do,never let go of that thread.''
