1) FILM / TELEVISION

tick, tick…BOOM! - (Musical/Drama - Netflix)

Directed by Lin-Manuel Miranda, tick, tick…BOOM! offers it’s audience one of those films that just brings out the feels in you.

“Based on the autobiographical musical by playwright Jonathan Larson. It's the story of an aspiring composer in New York City who is worried he made the wrong career choice, whilst navigating the pressures of love and friendship.” -Google

Jonathan Larson is most well-known for writing the Tony Award winning and Pulitzer Prize for drama musical, RENT. Tick, tick…BOOM! was the musical he wrote right before that, on his way to sealing his career into Broadway history. Larson died extremely young of a rare medical condition, at the age of 36, in the early morning hours on the day his musical Rent would have it’s first off-Broadway preview performance. He never saw Rent become what it did. A tragic story of an extraordinary talent that lost his life way too soon.

Andrew Garfield is fantastic in this biopic role. Here is the trailer:

GLASS ANIMALS - (British Indie Rock Band)

ARTEMISIA GENTILESCHI - (Italian Baroque Painter)
